INFORMING ON THE YIPPIES
The first page of Julie Maynard's confidential informant report describes the trip she took from Madison to New York City in March 1972 to attend meetings about Yippee plans for demonstrations at the Republican convention (NY-88 page 4). It was withheld in its entirety for fourteen years as confidential source information and then released as part of the 1997 settlement. It reports various comings and goings at a conference at Stony Brook, none of which involved any reports of plans for criminal activity.

This entire report had been published in an underground newspaper in Madison in 1977 (see p. 89).
